Download and Install instructions for

Trams Scripts for Apollo® Users.

Go to the web site at www.shelleyconsulting.com.  Find a link that says Download and click that. You will be prompted for a user name and password.  Enter the user name and password given to you by Shelley Consulting.  You will see another screen with a link that says Trams Scripts for Apollo® Users, click that and you will be on the Trams Scripts for Apollo® Users  Download Page. During the download and install process, wherever there is a password required, you will be given that password by Bill Shelley.

It is recommended that you download all of the files on the workstation in your office designated as WS1, but you can use any of your networked workstations as the “main” workstation. Files should be saved to the c:\fp\datadir folder on that machine.

Important Note: When you click on the links on the download page, you should be given a choice of "Run this program from its current location" or "Save this program to disk". Always select "Save this program to disk".

Downloading

If you already have the Scriptwriter Plus™ program, skip to Step 2.

Step 1. Click the link to go to the Galileo® web site to install the Scriptwriter Plus™ Run program. It will open in a new window. After installing the Scriptwriter Plus Run program, close the window and you will return to Shelley Consulting.

Step 2. Download the Trams Scripts Full Version file.

Step 3. Download the Workstation Update file.

It is not necessary to download the Trams Scripts Ver. XXXX Update Only file.  It will be the file  you will download later to get future updates.

These are install files, and 2 of them are compressed files. Once they are downloaded, you must install them in the order listed above in the download steps.

Installing

Step 1. Double click the scripts.exe file to install the Trams Scripts files.

Step 2. Double click the setupupd.exe file to install the Workstation update program.

NOTE: Step 2 is NOT performed on the WS1 (main) workstation, only on the other workstations.

To install the scripts in the other workstations, the installation steps are the same, but you will perform them at each workstation from the G: drive.  The G: drive on the workstations is the same as the c:\fp\datadir folder on the WS1 workstation.  If you do not have a G: drive on the workstations, you will have to map a G: drive to the WS1 computer.  Below are the steps to map the G: drive to the proper computer. When looking for the setup files on the G: drive, they will be in the root directory (G:\) and not in g:\fp\datadir.

Sharing

Step 1. Go to the WS1 workstation, or the one you have designated as the “main” computer.

Step 2. Double click on My Computer.

Step 3. Double click on the C: drive.

Step 4. Double click on the FP folder

Step 5. Right click on the DATADIR folder.

Step 6. Click on item named “Sharing”.

Step 7. Click on Share As and leave the Share Name as DATADIR.

Step 8. Click on Full in the Access Type and leave the password blank.

Step 9. Click OK. A hand should appear under the DATADIR folder.

Step 10. Close all windows opened during this process.

Mapping

If you already have a computer designated as the “G” drive, we can use a different letter.

Step 1.  Double click on Network Neighborhood

Step 2.  Double click on the computer named WS 1 (or your “main” workstation)

Step 3.  Right-click on the "DATADIR" folder and then click on the "Map Network Drive" item.

Step 4.  On the Drive line, drop the down arrow at the right end of the line down and scroll to the G: drive.

Step 5.  Make sure the "Reconnect at Logon" check box is checked and click OK.

Step 6.  Close any drive or folder windows that have opened.

Step 7.  Double click on "My Computer" and find the G drive.

[It will say Datadir on WS1 (G:) ]

Step 8. You should see the install files mentioned in Installing. Follow the steps to install on each workstation.

Creating Window and Icon

Step 1. Type Alt-R to open the Scriptwriter Plus™ screen. You should see a blank gray screen.

Step 2. Click Window and then click New Window.

Step 3. In Window Title, Type Trams

Step 4. Click drop down arrow under Host and select Focalpoint®/Apollo®. Then Click OK.

Step 5. You should have a blank white screen. Click File, and Add Icon.

Step 6. In description type Trams Scripts.

Step 7. Click Browse. Select Trams.key from the List. Click OK.

You will also need a license file that will be given to you separately that needs to be installed on each workstation.  Instructions for that will accompany the license file.

After installing and adding the license file, there will be some setup in Focalpoint®  to create 3 profiles which the scripts will use.  The instructions for this set up are in a separate document titled Initial Profile Creation.

If you have any questions, email Bill Shelley or call him at 281-335-1774.
